21. Seven
aliens Jam, Jackey, Roger, Aloi, Timmi, Alex, and Vikram came to earth and are
living on separate floors of a 7-floor building. The ground floor is numbered 1; the first floor is numbered 2 and so on until the topmost floor is numbered 7. Each
one of them came from a different planet viz. Pluto, Mercury, Saturn, Jupiter,
Venus, Neptune and Mars but not necessarily in the same order. Only three
aliens live above the floors on which Jam lives. Only one alien life between
Jam and the one who came from Neptune. Alex lives immediately below the one who
came from Mercury. The alien who came from Pluto does not live immediately
above or immediately below Jackey. Aloi does not live immediately above or
immediately below Jam. Vikram did not come from Jupiter. The alien who came
from Mercury lives on an even-numbered floor. Only three aliens live between
those who came from Neptune and Saturn. Timmi lives immediately above Roger.
Timmi did not come from Saturn. Only two aliens live between Jackey and the one
who came from Venus. The alien who came from Venus lives below the floor on
which Jackey lives that lives on an even-numbered floor above the jam.
22. Seven
persons namely R, U, T, E, P, I and J travelled to three different countries,
i.e., Jordan, Japan and Jamaica. Each of them travelled on different days of
the week (no two persons travelled on the same day), starting on Monday and
ending on Sunday. Minimum two people travelled to each country and Jordan is
the only country to which three people travelled. U did not travel to Jamaica.
J travelled to Jordan on Monday. I travelled to Japan but neither on Tuesday
nor on Saturday. R travelled on Sunday but not to Jamaica. The one who
travelled to Japan travelled on Tuesday and the one who travelled to Jamaica
travelled on Saturday. P travelled on Wednesday. T travelled to Jordan but not
on Thursday.
23. Six
boxes i.e. M, N, O, P, Q, and S are placed one above another, also they are of
different weights i.e. 24, 25, 36, 37, 43, and 81(but not necessarily in the
same order) (all weights are in kgs ). Box P’s weight is not the
lowest price among all the weights. M is placed either top or bottom. The
weight of the box which is placed at the bottom is a perfect square of an odd prime
number. Only 1 box is placed between P and S.
Box Q is not placed just above and below P. Box O is placed below Q but
not just below Q. The weight of the box which is placed just above N is a
perfect square of an odd number. Box O’s weight is a prime number. Box N is not
placed above M, whose weight is not a perfect square. Only 2 boxes are placed
between M and P, whose weight is a prime number.
